When a baby elephant is trained, they are tethered to a strong steel stake in the ground. The elephant struggles to get away but the pole is much stronger than the elephant is. The elephant soon learns that its movement is limited by the length of its rope. As the elephant grows, the stake can be replaced by just a simple wooden stake. The elephant has learned its limitation, even though if it tried as an adult it could easily pull up the stake and run free. Think about the small things in our lives that keep us tethered in one place. We can keep ourselves from moving and progressing with “pegs” that may only be small, unimportant sticks in the sand - easy to pull up.
This blog is meant to inspire individuals to get over any peg or stake they are tethered to and move forward with purpose to a life designed by their best self. I have a huge passion for Personal Development and Human Potential. I know that I am not operating at my highest level of potential, however I want to share with others some of the Principals that are assisting me in doing so.
